Interview with Jack Blanton, a businessman and a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives from Carrollton. Blanton shares his experiences and personal views as a member of the Sixty-first Legislature. He also discusses his personal political philosophy, the one-year versus two-year budget, the Caveness plan, social legislation, the establishment of the University of Texas at Dallas, the creation of new four-year colleges, college campus unrest, revenue legislation, the beer and liquor lobby, Governor Preston Smith, and his personal legislation.
